Our story....

  When Paulina was a girl, she had a love for fashion. However, clothing stores didn’t share her love of modesty. Shopping trips were a frustrating experience. Shuffling through racks of lampshade-sized skirts, Paulina began to imagine a store where style and modesty worked hand-in-hand.  At age 15 she decided to make that dream a reality. After much prayer, and research, she was able to launch “PaulinaCarmel.com”, an online modest clothing store. She was 16 years old at the time.

   Some years later she met her future-husband, Vinicius. He swept her off her feet. Now the two of them, happily married, run PaulinaCarmel.com together. It is their joy to provide you with the carefully chosen products you find on this site. They merge their fashion-sense and business know-how to create a distinctive and modest line of clothing for today's Christian ladies.

At Paulina Carmel, we know that are many types of people in this world, with many different perspectives about modesty in dress. However, we have done our best to provide a line of clothing that will meet the needs of modest Christian ladies. With that in mind, we have set the following basic guidelines for the clothing you will find on this website:

Skirts, and not pants

Skirts and dresses with below-the-knee hemlines

Tops with sleeves

Tops with high, or layerable, necklines

Nothing showy, see-through, or skin-tight

...and nothing frumpy! :)
